Regions and Landscapes

European policies are shaped by EU-regulations and strategies which require individual implementation, initiative and creativity on all levels. We focus especially on Directives that are significant from a planning perspective, such as NATURA2000, Water Framework Directive or cross-cutting strategies such as the EUROPE2020 Strategy. Between the various thematic fields, many possibilities for creative solutions emerge to foster planning on municipal or regional level. blue! offers the following services:

  • Strategic planning for implementation of Directives on different levels

  • Coaching in implementation of Directives in new EU member states or associated countries: Twinning-projects, seminars, consultancy

  • River management concepts and mapping of spatial and morphological structures

  • NATURA2000 management plans

  • Geographical Information Systems and cartography (ArcGIS)

  • Management of Networks and communication at EU level / Interface to regional activities
